Building upon our commitment to pioneering innovation to support our esteemed clients, S.U.Khan Associates, Corporate and Legal Consultants, has marked yet another significant achievement. We are delighted to announce that the National Tariff Commission of Pakistan has initiated Pakistan’s first anti-circumvention investigation. This investigation aims to scrutinize the circumvention of antidumping duties levied on dumped imports of Coated Bleach Board, a pivotal step in safeguarding Pakistan’s domestic market.
We take immense pride in having the honor of filing this first anti-circumvention duties application on behalf of the domestic paper and paperboard industry. At S.U.Khan Associates, our mission has always been to ensure a fair and equitable playing field for our clients facing competition from the dumped imports. Throughout our history, we have consistently provided innovative solutions to address the challenges posed by dumped imports to the domestic industry, leveraging various provisions of the trade remedy laws.
In addition to this first anti-circumvention application, we have been trailblazers in invoking several other aspects of trade law in Pakistan. We were the first to file a countervailing application, file an appeal before the Antidumping Appellate Tribunal, and pioneer a change of circumstances review investigation on behalf of the domestic industry to advocate for increased antidumping duty rates. These milestones underscore our unwavering commitment to advocating for the interests of our clients and shaping the legal landscape in Pakistan’s trade arena.
